A Wedding Blessing Ceremony is not a legally recognised marriage ceremony.
Some couples choose to have a Wedding Blessing because they already view themselves as husband and wife wishing to declare their love for each other in the presence of family and friends without going down the legal route.
Some prefer to have a Wedding Blessing prior to their legal wedding ceremony or after it and then celebrate with family and friends in a different country.
Wedding Blessings can also take place in a hospital or hospice with the correct authorisation.
A Vow Renewal Blessing is when perhaps on a special anniversary you wish to renew your vows and affirm your love for each other.
You may wish to have rings blessed
In your ceremony the same as the wedding ceremony you can include either Handfasting, Sand, Oathing Stone, Sealing the Wine Box and Quaiche (Scottish loving cup) etc. If you wish any of these to be included in your ceremony it is advisable that you supply your own to ensure you have what you desire.
There will be a rehearsal prior to the Ceremony and you will be given a Blessing Certificate, a copy of your Ceremony script and your Vows.
All can be carried out indoors, outdoors or that special place of your choice.
